WELCOME TO UDFF 2024!

As Logan’s inaugural film festival, Underdog Film Fest has big boots to fill. But we’re proud to say that our first season attracted over 120 submissions from across the country – including some powerful home grown films.

We committed to watching every single short and we have to say, we’ve been absolutely blown away with the quality and diversity of the stories submitted. Thank you to every single filmmaker who put their trust in our first festival! We hope you love these films as much as we do.

Underdog Film Festival is proudly held at the Kingston Butter Factory Cultural Precinct. Logan City Council has transformed the city’s historic butter factory site into a landmark cultural precinct offering a year-round program of art, culture and entertainment in the heart of Logan. Free on-site parking is available.

OUR PAST EVENTS

On February 23, 2024, we welcomed over 100 guests to our inaugural Season Launch event at Kingston Butter Factory. The Logan Community, local filmmakers, and UDFF stakeholders gathered to network, hear our committee’s goals and mission for the festival, giving our people a taste of what to expect in September when we screen our 2024 program.

We also had the opportunity to proudly showcase a curated collection of short films from SAE Institute alumni, along with Windaroo Valley SHS, Canterbury College, and Shailer Park SHS students.
